University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine
The completed application goes through a series of competitive reviews which may take from one to three months. Interviews are by invitation of the Committee on Admissions, and candidates will be notified by the Office of Admissions if an interview is granted. The interview program will occur on select weekdays from October to February. Combined degree interviews are scheduled in conjunction with medical school interviews.

John’s Hopkins University School of Medicine
Following receipt of all required credentials, the committee on admission will review applications and make interview decisions. Applicants selected for interview will be notified by the committee. It may be possible to arrange an interview with a regional representative of the committee when the applicant lives at some distance from Baltimore. Notification of acceptances are made between October 15 and April 15.

Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis
Although the Committee on Admissions would like to interview every applicant, this is impossible. Therefore, the Committee will invite carefully selected applicants to come to Washington University for an interview, visit with students and faculty, and tour the School of Medicine and medical center. If you are planning a trip that will include the St. Louis area, it is appropriate to e-mail or fax an inquiry to the Committee to learn if an interview will be authorized. The inquiry should be submitted at least three weeks in advance of your anticipated travel. The Admissions Office is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Central time.

Duke University School of Medicine
On-campus interviews usually include two half-hour meetings with faculty. The ""alpha"" interviewer will talk with you about your academic career and goals, while the ""beta"" interviewer will spend time discussing ethical issues with you and getting to know you as a person. You'll also have an opportunity to tour the medical center and medical school, attend a presentation on financial aid, and if you wish, stay with a student host. Regional interviews are occasionally offered as a convenience to students living at some distance from Duke. Conducted by one interviewer, often a Duke alumnus, regional interviews last about an hour.

University of California San Francisco School of Medicine
Whenever possible, interviewees are granted two interviews. The average interview lasts 40 minutes but varies according to individual interviewers and applicants. Interviews are conducted without prior review of your file. This means that the interviewers are blind to any information about your past performance or activities. At least one interviewer will be a member of our faculty, and the other may or may not be a medical student. Since medical school commitments preclude student interviews for all applicants, other opportunities are provided for you to meet and talk with medical students.

University of Washington School of Medicine
All completed applications undergo an assessment by two to three Executive Committee members to determine if the applicant should be invited to interview. Two assigned reviewers make independent determinations concerning the merits of an application. If there is disagreement between the first two reviewers, the application goes to a third who breaks the tie. Selected applicants will receive an interview invitation between October and March. All the states will use the same basic interview format, but there will be some differences in the schedule of activities at each location during your visit.

University of Michigan Medical School
We’ve the interview process to give interviewees a variety of opportunities to learn more about us – our approach to medical education, our community, our facilities – and for us to learn as much as possible about them. Interviewees have three one-on-one interviews with Admissions Committee Members who may include students, faculty and/or alumni. They also have the chance to interact with current students and other applicants, and ask questions out of range of any decision-making committee member.
